This is a 19 year old patient from Bridgeport, CT. After the consultation with Dr. Alfred Sofer, patient decided having a breast augmentation with Saline Moderate Plus Profile Implants from Mentor. Dr. 330 cc on right breast and 325cc on left breast. Dr. Sofer performed an inframammary incision and implant was inserted under the pectoral muscle. Patient is very happy with her results.

This is a 38 year old female from Clinton, CT that underwent a mommy make over performed by Dr. Sofer. A mommy makeover is performed using unique combination of plastic surgery procedures designed to counteract the physical effects of childbearing to restore and enhance your body.
For this patient specifically, Dr. Sofer performed a mini tummy tuck to remove excess of skin and fat and tight the muscles of the abdomen area without touching the patient’s belly button.
To enhance the breasts, Dr. Sofer performed a breast augmentation with saline implants inserted sub muscularly in the infra mammary fold. A Mentor implant of 480cc saline in the right and left breasts was introduced. Patient is very happy with her results.

Patient of the Week: This is a 29 year old female from Mount Vernon, New York. She is 5’4 tall and weighs 125lbs. Patient came in interested in breast enhancement surgery. She wanted to have a full look especially in the upper pole of her breasts. After consulting with Dr. Sofer, and reviewing the potential outcome on the Vectra 3D imaging system, patient decided to pursue surgery. The Vectra 3D imaging system helped both Dr. Sofer and the patient in deciding the best implant for her figure. In order to achieve fullness, Dr. Sofer used 400cc moderate plus saline implants placed in the sub muscular plane through an inframammary fold incision. The outcome clearly compliments her body and figure. Patient is extremely satisfied with her results and new look.

This is a 37 year old female from Wilton CT Mother of two kids. After consulting with Dr. Sofer, patient decided to have a mini tummy tuck and breast lift with no implants as she was satisfied with the size and volume of her breasts but not the shape.
Mini tummy tuck surgery is less invasive than traditional abdominoplasty. The mini tummy tuck, or partial abdominoplasty, is often an excellent option for people who have a small amount of abdominal skin to be removed and do not have a significantly protruding abdominal muscle wall. Individuals whose abdominal area is beginning to sag due to aging or who have slim abdomens that they wish to sculpt into a more desirable shape may find that a mini tummy tuck is ideal for them. The patient is usually released from the surgery center within a few hours of mini tummy tuck surgery. The recovery time is about the same as that for liposuction. Patients are usually able to return to work within a week of getting a mini abdominoplasty but should refrain from strenuous activities for a few weeks. As liposuction, postoperative binder and massaging is important in improving the outcome.

This is a 24 year old female from Bridgeport, CT. Patient complained of excess skin in her abdominal area after her pregnancy. Even though patient exercised regularly and lived a healthy lifestyle the abdominal skin was not elastic and would not improve. By the end of the consultation Dr. Sofer and the patient decided to proceed with tummy tuck to remove the excess of skin of her abdomen and tighten her muscles. Dr. Sofer made the incision way below her c-section scar. Patient also had Breast Augmentation with saline implants 350cc both breasts. Patient is very happy with her procedure.

This is a 27 year old female, 5’6″ from Fairfield, CT. After her pregnancy patient desired a breast augmentation. Dr. Sofer performed a breast augmentation with saline implants 330 cc each breast. Patient is very happy with her results.

Patient of the week: August 14, 2012 – Breast Asymmetry.
This is a 24 year old patient that wanted to fit better in her wedding dress. She was concerned about her breast size and wanted to be fuller especially in the upper pole. Upon close examination Dr. Sofer noted chest wall irregularity known as pectus excavatum, which also led to asymmetry in her breasts. In order to address the chest wall irregularity and breast asymmetry along with filling up the upper pole, Dr. Sofer meticulously positioned a 425cc breast implant on her right breast and 325cc breast implant on her left breast. She is very excited about her results and is looking forward to her wedding date. We would like to offer congratulations and we wish her all the best!

To create a balanced chest, Dr. Sofer uses three procedures, either by themselves or in combination.
Breast augmentation is a procedure used to enlarge a breast through the use of a prosthetic implant, and is a common method of altering breast asymmetry. These implants can be made of different types of material, though silicone is perhaps the most widely known. They are inserted into the breast via an incision. The location and size of the incision is dependent upon many factors, such as the nature of the surgical procedure, the breast itself, and the prosthetic implant used.
Breast reduction is the surgical removal of tissue to reduce the size and alter shape of the breast. Depending on the exact procedure and desired cosmetic outcome, different combinations of fat, glandular tissue and skin are removed to create the desired shape. Lastly, a breast lift is the removal of excess skin. Breast lift procedures raise and tighten the breast, accentuating appearance.

Patient of the week: August 7, 2012 – Liposculpture with Breast Augmentation.
This patient had liposculpture and Breast Augmentation performed by Dr. Alfred Sofer. She is a 41 year old female from Fairfield, CT. She was unhappy with her abdomen and flanks even though she worked out regularly. She also complained of hollowness along the outer thighs and within the c-section scar. In addition, patient had hollowness of the upper pole of her breasts after two pregnancies.Due to her size and frame, Dr. Sofer and the patient decided on 300cc saline moderate plus profile implants. He also performed liposuction of the abdomen and flanks and used her own fat and transferred to patient’s lateral thighs and the c-section scar. The c-section scar is practically invisible probably due to stem cell properties of the harvested fat. The picture shown is 3 months after her surgery.
Dr. Sofer also recommends 10 sessions of lymphatic drainage massage to help smooth out the skin and enhance the shape. He also recommends wearing binders after liposuction for three to six weeks after surgery. Patient is very happy with her results.

The patient is 33 years old female from Bridgeport CT. Patient was unhappy with the size and shape or her breasts. Dr. Sofer performed a bilateral breast lift with augmentation. She had 275cc saline moderate plus profile in both breasts. Patient is very happy with her results. This picture was take 3 months post – op.
Breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures performed after child birthing. Breast Lift surgery raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightens surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour.
