In general, you can expect to:
- Spend time in a post-op recovery room (about 1-2 hours)
- Need pain medication and muscle relaxants for the following three days
- Resume your normal routines in about 10-14 days (not counting exercise)
- Return to exercise after 4-6 weeks (you should be cleared prior to any exercising)
