IPL FotoFacial (Intense Pulse Light)

IPL FotoFacial (Intense Pulse Light)

IPL Fotofacial is a popular treatment that uses Intense Pulse Light. Also known as the “fotofacial”, IPL is widely used at the Plastic Surgery Center of Fairfield for treatment of vascular conditions (“spider veins”) and brown spots (“age spots”) caused by sun damage. IPL stimulates the production of collagen, which plumps up the skin to give a fresher look and refines or tightens large pores. This treatment is used to improve the cosmetic appearance of the face, neck, hands and body by reducing excessive red and brown tones in the skin.

  • Maintenance or generally improving the glow of your skin can be accomplished with Microdermabrasion followed by Fotofacial IPL. This combination is a great way to keep your skin glowing and radiant without chemical peels. Acne breakouts can leave the skin looking blotchy and marked with red and brown superficial scars. One treatment every 2–4 months is an effective way to maintain even tone and texture, with smaller pore size and fewer acne breakouts while keep your skin looking young and healthy.

IPL Fotofacial is a great treatment for sun-damaged areas such as:

  • Arms
  • Chest
  • Face
  • Shoulders
  • Neck
  • Legs

IPL Fotofacial can also improve:

  • Acne
  • Rosacea

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Skin firmness

  • Agespots
